Invincea web redirector1/28/2024 Pre-Crime Forensic Intelligence: As the attack occurs, and during the restoration process, Invincea captures real-time forensic analysis related to the attempted breach. Invincea eliminates the need for costly and time consuming desktop reimaging by preventing malware from ever taking root on the host. This process takes no longer than 20 seconds and the user is back up and running on the Internet without a call to help desk. During this restoration process, Invincea discards of the tainted virtual environment and completely rebuilds from a pristine, gold clean state. Rather, we begin an automatic restoration process. An infection alert is provided to the user – but Invincea does not ask the user to make a security decision. Prevention: Literally the second that malicious behavior is identified, Invincea stops the attack dead in its tracks. As a result, Invincea can detect zero-day attacks in real-time and thwart those attacks with ease. Instead, it automatically identifies malware attacks based on behaviors and actions inside the contained, controlled and segregated environment. Signature-Free Detection: Unlike other solutions, Invincea does not rely on malware signatures for detection. By creating this specialized virtual environment, Invincea contains all malware – whether zero-day or known – and prevents it from attacking the host operating system as a pathway to breach and lateral movement in your network. Running a virtual machine local to the desktop, Invincea creates a completely segregated operating system in which the web browser operates. Invincea™ Browser Protection shields your network from the largest attack surface for breach by seamlessly moving desktop web browsers into a controlled virtual environment.Ĭontainment: Invincea takes the most highly targeted application in your network (the web browser) and seamlessly contains it in a fully virtualized environment. The company is venture capital-backed and based in Fairfax, VA. I’m hoping I’m managing my own bias on open source but like I’ve already said, try to use your own judgment on things I write. I believe strongly in protection of intellectual property and I know proprietary code and its protection is also critically important in moving us all forward, but so frequently the open source community is under represented so I want to try hard to make sure they are given a fair shake. ![]() ![]() I also have a general bias towards open source software. ![]() I was an enterprise CTO and now I study them. Another bias is to look at things from a lens of enterprise technology. I hope everything I do is supportive of national security. One key bias comes from years in the US national security community. I’m hoping the things here are of interest and use but please use your own judgment. Since this is a personal blog my most important point regarding bias is that you should evaluate everything written here yourself. Disclaimers and Bias This blog is primarily written by Bob Gourley with a few other guest writers as invited.
